Approaches to agroecology

Umr Art-dev contributes to research and action research work in the field of agroecology and agroecological transition through inputs from actors according to five dimensions

• Analysis of the contribution of public policies to the agroecological transition
• Analysis of the integration of EA in the making and implementation of policies
• Analysis of the performance of rural household production systems (family farms) in TAE (income, work, etc.) and the place of agroecology in activity systems
• Analysis of AET actors in food systems, sectors and territories
• The prospective dimension of agroecology, in particular at the territorial level

The specificity of the work in progress in which the unit is involved is to contribute to the formulation of public policies in favor of the agro-ecological transition from the co-construction of arguments with local and national actors and decision-makers. It is a question both of producing empirical knowledge in terms of the socio-economic performance of agro-ecological production systems, but also of the territorialized food systems associated with them. Finally, it is a question of mobilizing the analyzes of existing policies and the prospective exercises to produce references based on evidence and visions or scenarios of evolution, built from the perceptions, wills and wishes of the actors involved. .
