Nitidæ, a non-profit law 1901 association, was born from the merger of two associations (Etc Terra and Rongead) in December 2017. Its objective is to design, develop and carry out projects that combine the preservation of the environment and the strengthening local economies. This merger now makes it possible to combine specialized and complementary sectoral expertise (agriculture, markets and value chains on the one hand; forest, climate, REDD+ and conservation on the other) and to create an innovation interface able to offer integrated solutions for African rural territories. Nitidæ wishes to offer effective and sustainable responses to the development challenges of rural populations in developing countries, and to demonstrate that it is possible and beneficial to reconcile economic dynamism and the preservation of natural capital, through field projects that can be replicated on a large scale. Nitidæ's approach is distinguished by: a multi-sectoral mode of intervention at the scale of the territory and throughout the value chain. This approach is also distinguished by a partnership approach and co-construction methods, a priority given to measuring the impacts of our actions and by an action that is part of an innovative ecosystem. They operate throughout Burkina Faso.
